Clean Air Fairies

We are the first Nursery School in the world to Share Clean Air!

We have teamed up with the Clean Air Fairies from Radic8 to limit your children’s exposure to the toxins and pollutants that are ubiquitous in London.

Air pollution levels are a serious concern for anybody living and working in London, especially for babies, toddlers, and children whose respiratory and immune systems are still developing.

Despite being informed of the air pollution in the area, there were no immediate plans to make positive changes. The Ultra-Low Emission Zone in London was planned for two years after we’ve implemented the Clean Air Fairies filtration system, which was just not soon enough. That’s why we decided to take control of the air quality within our classrooms and buildings.

We are the first Nursery School in the UK to use this air filtration technology, but it is already used extensively in other countries. It is 99.5% efficient at removing NO2 from the air and it sterilises the air which means that it helps to stop the spread of bacteria and viruses to keep children healthy throughout the year (even in cold and flu season). It also makes a large impact on the health and wellbeing of children with asthma, and can even help to prevent the condition from developing in younger children.

The Clean Air Fairies will teach children about the importance of clean air and how they can help look after the environment at school, at home, and even when they leave Hopes and Dreams Nursery School.

If you have any questions about this technology and its impact on your children, please get in touch. We can put you in touch with Radic8 team, who will be able to provide a variety of material for children and parents and are always happy to answer further questions.
